Summary (tldr)

The term Farqwerk 45 comes from the idea that you will have to work for 45 years (20-65yo). If you can stop working before the 45 years is up it is because you have enough resources/money to last your remaining days. It is equivalent to you saying “Farq work” when someone asks what you do, or you are offered a job!
The Farqwerk 45 (F45) line is an imaginary line that is crossed in your life when you find yourself with more money or resources to spend than you have life remaining, you are therefore no longer compelled to work.
You may cross the line at any point in your life, however, it is better to cross earlier than later. Most people will cross towards the end which is typically 4.5 decades or 65yo in the Western world.
An analysis of where, when, and how you might cross or not cross the line is shown in the examples further below.

Other:

The line is not fixed and moves in synchronicity with your good and bad fortunes. Time (age), income, spending, debt, and wise decisions will all contribute to when you cross this line
Just because you have crossed the line does not mean that you cease working. Many people will continue working by choice after crossing
Unfortunately, many people will never cross the F45 line (e.g. financially illiterate, lower socio-economic groups, non-developed countries, commodity and debt hoarders, etc.)

F45 Paradox

The paradox here is that most people will push this line away from themselves the closer they get to it. This is typically done by increasing debt through institutes that compel modern-day indentured servitude

e.g. 55yo numbnuts parent goes into debt by buying their child a car or house without realizing they will now have to work longer even though the child has many more years in front of them than they do

F45 Equilibrium

Instead of crossing the line early It is preferred and desirable by many to reduce their work hours so that they could instead enjoy the balance of a shorter working week with a good lifestyle for a longer period in their lives e.g.

55yo reduces from 40 to 20hr weeks until age 65 (or later)
32yo stops being a commodity and debt hoarder and lives a minimalist life and only works 30 hours weeks

F45 Return / F45 Folly

This is what happens when a person crosses the line however they subsequently return due to bad choices or bad luck!

E.g. Financially Illerterate Celebrities, Billionaires, Athletes.

F45 Truth

You won’t beat the F45 line by putting in 40-hour work weeks
Every numbnuts will say they want to retire at their current age + 10 years however this won’t work until you hit your 50s
Every numbnuts will discuss starting a business with their mates but hardly any will do more than talk

Lame motivation to inspire a numbnuts to cross the line

Work the full 45 years

Most people will do nothing to cross the F45 line before 65. Instead, they will follow the usual easy-to-follow patterns:

Do not contemplate your full human life cycle
Work as a lower socio-income employee for as long as you can
Do not develop a skill that you can monetize
Develop a skill that pays FA
Spend all the money you make
Split your assets with an ex-partner after you are halfway through your life
live an unhealthy lifestyle (poor diet, no exercise, etc.) – that way you will not live a long life so will not need to concern yourself with longevity. This has a flow-on bonus effect of reducing your carbon footprint

Incomplete notes and thoughts

Maybe one should not necessarily live their life according to this line, instead, they should enjoy life day by day and just be aware that is there in the background.
How is this different from generic Retirement Planning or Financial Planning? FIRE Financial Independance Retire Early
Once you start to receive a pension have you automatically crossed the F45 line?

Intergenerational F45: This means being able to pass the line with your children.
